Required Technical Resources

Students taking distance learning classes will not need to purchase expensive computer equipment to complete their coursework.

The items they will need include a dependable computer, speakers for listening to audio content, a microphone to participate in voice chats, a high-speed Internet connection and whatever software is necessary to complete the assigned coursework (Microsoft Office Suite).

Wayne State University's office of Computing and Information Technology provides the following recommendations for those interested in purchasing desktop or laptop computers:

The Office of Computing and Information Technology also provides students with access to free or reduced cost software. You will have access to these benefits upon enrollment.
