- The College of Nursing Alumni Assocition participates in the annual Lifelline Award program.
- The Board of Directors meets the first Wednesday of each month at 5:00 pm in the College of Nursing Lounge.
- The College of Nursing Alumni Association hosts advocacy trainings with its member in order to teach them how to communicate to legislators about the importance of Wayne State University's College of Nursing and how to advocate on behalf of the College.
- The Board of Directors is sponsoring an annual "Update on Pain Management" given by Dr. April Vallerand. The event is scheduled for March 10, 2010 from 4pm-6pm at the Cohn Building.
- The Board of Directors is sponsoring several events for students, including a seminar on "How to Interview for a Job" and "Holiday Greeting" table with Fruit and sweets. Holiday Greetings will take place Wednesday, December 9 outside the Office of Student Affairs, Cohn Building.
- The CON Alumni Association contributes funds to the CON Student Emergency Fund and has a great tradition of providing $10,000 to the Student Scholarship Fund.
- The Association is active during Nurse’s Week each year in acknowledging the good works of nurses and marketing the Association at various hospital and community events.
