The College of Nursing Alumni Awards dinner has been combined with the College’s annual LifeLine Awards gala, to be held this year Thursday, September 25, at the Roostertail in Detroit. The 2008 Alumna of the Year Award will be presented to Dr. Nancy King Reame, the Mary Dickey Lindsay Professor of Nursing at the Columbia University School of Nursing in New York.
The Board of Directors meets the first Wednesday of each month at 5:00 pm in the College of Nursing Lounge.
The CON Alumni Association sponsors pizza parties for students each semester, when they are taking the NCLEX Review Course.
The CON Alumni Association contributes funds to the CON Student Emergency Fund and has a great tradition of providing $10,000 to the Student Scholarship Fund.
The Association is active during Nurse’s Week each year in acknowledging the good works of nurses and marketing the Association at various hospital and community events.
