Funded Research

The Center for Health Research administers and manages grant funds awarded by external agencies, including the National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control, Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation, and the American Nurses Foundation, to name a few.  CON faculty members have received federal funding through several mechanisms including Research Project Grants (R01), Small Grants (R03), and Academic Research Enhancement Award (AREA) Grants (R15).  CON faculty members have also been funded through training grants and individual Career Development (K) Awards.  Examples of some of the outstanding research going on in the College are highlighted in the menu on the right.
