The College of Nursing raises annual support for the evolving needs of the College; needs that may otherwise go unmet. Annual giving allows Nursing alumni and friends to assist in preserving the high quality of a nursing education for our students.
Annual giving provides immediate relief to funding needs in the College. Whether it is an unrestricted gift to the Dean's Fund or supporting a student scholarship - these gifts fill in the growing gap that tuition, state and federal funding can not cover.
Annual gifts are raised through various methods from student callers to direct mail. These methods, along with the Faculty and Staff giving, allow the College to continue its strong academic programs and add to the support it receives from other sources.
Jana Stoyanovich represents the College of Nursing's annual giving program and can be reached at 313-577-2168. Jana works together with Director of Development, Angela Bingham, to identify the annual giving needs for the College and continue to increase revenue raised through annual gifts.
Direct Mail
It is vital to assure that the College of Nursing will have the resources to respond to opportunities and needs as they arise. Funds contributed to the College through annual giving help to maintain outstanding programming, scholarships, educational materials, and research.
Direct Mail provides a critical and direct link to our alumni and friends on current funding needs and priorities. It gives them the opportunity to make a timely financial impact on our students and programs.
Call Center
Student callers provide a personal touch to alumni and friends by keeping them informed of what is happening in the College and on campus, being able to update their information, and accept donations for the current needs of the College.
Faculty Staff Campaign
The College of Nursing Faculty and Staff know first-hand the funding needs and challenges that face them and their students and programs. In 2005-2006 the College of Nursing raised over $13,000 through faculty and staff donations.
Their professional and personal commitment has created a state of excellence here at the College and across campus. The generous financial support continually shown by the College's faculty, staff and retirees is invaluable in maintaining and enhancing the caliber of its programs, research efforts, and facilities.
