Wayne First: The Campaign for Wayne State University, is the first capital campaign in the university’s history. Its goal of $500 million in private gifts from alumni, corporations, foundations and other friends of Wayne State will provide the opportunity to build on the university’s distinctive strengths and then to reach beyond them into new areas of leadership, scholarship and service.
As a major part of the Wayne First campaign, the Wayne State University College of Nursing began its The Leadership Circle for Capital Campaign in 2006. This major fundraising effort invited outstanding nursing and health care leaders from across the country to work with us to help close the $6.5 million campaign for the College of Nursing.
