The College of Nursing is constantly seeking to extend its educational and clinical reach beyond U.S. borders in order to enhance the learning experience for its students, prepare them for life in a global economy, and share our extensive health care experience in developing nations.
One such partnership exists in Hyderabad, India, where a formal memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Kamineni family and the College of Nursing to initiate a pilot second Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program in India that will rely heavily on distance learning techniques. The agreement is part of an effort to expand Wayne State global education programs and boost international enrollment at the university.
We also have a research scholars program with Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand that allows students to visit Wayne State University for up to a year while they develop their doctoral dissertation. Formal agreements also exist with the University of Sao Paulo, Ribeirão Preto, Brazil for research and education.
