The Nursing Practice Corporation is a non-profit corporation comprised of College of Nursing faculty. Included in the purposes of the Nursing Practice Corporation are the following provisions:
- Providing nursing services (including diagnosis, treatment and care) to those in need without regard to race, color, creed, sex or ability to pay
- Providing “educational and training opportunities to nursing students at WSU College of Nursing”
- Providing opportunity to “conduct scientific investigation and research and to disseminate the knowledge acquired through public and professional channels.”
These purposes are met in part through the faculty practice plan at the Campus Health Center, an on-campus health center managed and staffed by nurse practitioners who are nationally certified in their specialty areas. Faculty members are encouraged to join the Nursing Practice Corporation to be included as a provider and/or staff at the center.
