College of Nursing

I am currently in my senior year of the traditional program at the College of Nursing and hope to pursue a career in emergency or critical care nursing.  Eventually I would like to become either a nurse anesthetist or a nurse practitioner in critical care.  I currently work as a Nurse Tech at Beaumont Hospital in Grosse Pointe and as a Nurse Tech in the Emergency Center at St. John Providence Hospital in Southfield.  As the active President of SNA I hope to inspire more students to participate in SNA and provide students with opportunities to get involved in the College of Nursing, as well as in the community.  I also hope to take members of SNA to represent WSU College of Nursing at the Michigan Student Nurses Association Convention in February.

I currently work as a Nurse Technician at St. John Hospital & Medical Center, and Student Nurse Associate at Children's Hospital of Michigan.  I joined SNA to become further involved in the College of Nursing and also get the opportunity to do more extracurricular activities with my classmates and other CON students in other class standings.  As an Executive Board member I hope to assist the other Executive Board members in creating and developing experiences that the other nursing students want to have as well as helping the organization be successful and work in a fun and efficient manner!
