Welcome to the College of Nursing Advocacy Information Web site. The College works closely with the Wayne State University Office of Government and Community Affairs to address critical nursing issues with local, state and federal elected officials.
America is faced with a severe nursing shortage. In Michigan alone, projections are that the shortfall of registered nurses will reach at least 7,000 by the year 2010, 18,000 by 2015. We need your help to create awareness of this looming crisis.
If you want to express your opinion on nursing-related issues or simply want to know what you can do to help spread awareness and support current health care legislation initiatives, we want to hear from you!
